Help with HULUL.
For people already using the platform or the phone app — and for organisations thinking about it.
New to HULUL?
If your organisation is not on HULUL yet, write to us. Tell us who you are — Event Owner, Event Manager, Event Inspector or Operator — and which events you work on, and we will walk you through the platform in Arabic or English.
Getting an account
Accounts are created by invitation: your organisation’s administrator invites you by email. Nobody can create an account from the app or this website. If your invitation has expired, or you need a new one, ask the person who invited you.
Signing in
- On the web: open the link in your invitation once. After that, sign in at app.hulul.co with the Google or Microsoft account the invitation was sent to, or with a passkey you have added.
- On the phone: sign in the same way, with Google or Microsoft. Or, on the website, press your picture or initial at the end of the top bar, choose Link a phone, and scan the code with the HULUL app.
- A stall’s phone: scan the code on the stall’s sign. The phone then works as that spot, with no personal account.
The phone app
- What you need: an Android phone. There is no iPhone app yet.
- How to get it: the app is provided to invited organisations. Ask your administrator how to get it on your phone.
- Before you start: allow the app to use the camera and location, and keep location (GPS) and Wi-Fi switched on. Wi-Fi makes your position more accurate; you do not need to join a network, and the app does not record network names.
- No signal: keep working. What you record stays on the phone and is sent when signal returns. Home shows what is waiting and when the phone last synced.
If the app refuses a photograph
- Location is off. Turn on location (GPS) and try again.
- Wi-Fi is off. Switch Wi-Fi on. You do not need to connect to a network.
- You are outside the venue. A log can only be raised within the distance your platform allows from the venue boundary — 50 metres unless your administrator has changed it.
- The photograph is from the gallery. Evidence can only be taken with the app’s own camera, on the spot.
Something is not working
If you can sign in, press Support on the side of any screen. It takes a picture of the screen you are on, lets you circle the problem, and files a ticket with your words, a voice note or both. You follow the replies there and close it when the problem is gone.
If you cannot sign in, write to
support@hulul.co from your work address. Say which
event you were on, the reference of the log or checklist if there is one (it looks like
#AB3d), what you did and what happened. A screenshot helps.
During a live event, put URGENT and the event’s name at the start of the subject.
Deleting your account or your data
Your organisation’s administrator can deactivate your account at any time. To ask for your account and personal data to be deleted, write to support@hulul.co from your work address. What is kept, and for how long, is set out in the privacy policy.
